Ya sean criminales, nobles deshonrados o simplemente personas que buscan refugio en el extremo norte del mundo, estos hombres son un hatajo de andrajosos que suelen carecer de instrucción y que, ciertamente, no tienen ni idea de los horrores que los esperan más allá del Muro. Sin embargo, en tiempos de gran necesidad, incluso una panda de indisciplinados equipados con armaduras precarias y espadas cortas puede resultar difícil de vencer para un enemigo, especialmente cuando es una multitud.
