La Guardia Real posee las mejores armas, la mejor armadura y el mejor adiestramiento que el dinero puede comprar y está completamente dedicada a la protección de su rey, por lo que pueden atacar o defender frente a una cantidad de enemigos tres veces superior a su número sin pensar en la derrota. Sin embargo, hay que ser cauto al emplearlos en la batalla, no solo para evitar que los rodeen y destruyan, sino para contener y protegerse de la mayor debilidad de la Casa Lannister: el propio rey Joffrey Baratheon.
